Finding the perfect gown for your perfect day can be overwhelming at times. So many styles, designers, and colours to choose from, the process can quickly get out of hand. Here are some tips to help you say yes to your perfect dress without all the hassle
and stress.
Think ahead: create a Pinterest board with ideas and styles that catch your eye.
Include dress styles, lace and trim, and even pictures of different coloured gowns. This
simple trick will help establish what you are looking for overall. In the wedding industry,
a picture really is worth a thousand words and many people have found their perfect
gown from an idea on their Pinterest board.
Do some research: check out bridal store websites and see what samples and
designers they carry. Different stores carry different designers and dresses so it’s a good
idea to do some research and see what stores carry what products.
Worry about the gown, and then focus on everything else. Many brides worry about finding shoes and accessories first before they look for their perfect gown, but unless you have a special piece of jewellery you want to wear (like a family heirloom or a piece that was gifted to you), leave the shoes and accessories for last. Shoes and accessories are easy to match once you find your perfect wedding gown.
Bring people you trust and whose opinions are important to you. It’s always good to have a second opinion and make this important decision with your loved ones, but remember, at the end of everything, you’re the one who is wearing the gown and it is your wedding, so make sure you bring people you trust and who will support you.
Have fun. Finding the perfect gown doesn’t have to be all seriousness and stress,
have some fun while you shop! Try on gowns you would never normally wear and share
a laugh with your companions. Dress shopping is a fun experience and will be a memory
you will keep with you forever, so make sure you have some fun while you do it.
